Code Pink Protest During Teresa Heinz Kerry Speech

Fri Jul 30, 2004 at 08:55:47 AM PDT

Has anyone heard about this? During Teresa's speech, Medea Benjamin began screaming: "End the occupation!..." and had to be dragged off the convention floor. http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/07/28/1327236

The Other Coulter

Tue Jul 20, 2004 at 10:12:55 AM PDT

With news of De La Cruz's safe return home (that Filipino hostage), I remember an article by Michelle Malkin (described by Chris Mooney as "The Other Coulter.") I don't think she's quite as insane, but she's as vicious or even more so.

She wrote: "Add the flag of the Philippines to the International Hall of Appeasers. Sign this pitiful nation up for a lifetime membership to the Axis of Weasels. And remind me never again to brag about the proud fighting spirit of my ancestors."

A list of her columns by title...Frankly, just reading the titles themselves was nauseating:

Just your average Democrat donors

2 Lazy 2 Teach

The lost patriots of Hollywood

America's insane asylum for terrorists

The skanks on Capitol Hill

For English, please press "1"

Noble Americans and knuckleheads

CAIR's war on talk radio

Repent, repent Ye(e), America! Do it now!

The liberals who cried "Didn't Do Enough!"

A closer look at left-wing thuggery

Hollyweird's deadly love affair

The Dems' `First Responders' Fake-out

America, land of the Ashcroft-haters

Oh, and let's not forget:

Edwards-Cheney Debate

Tue Jul 06, 2004 at 05:31:12 PM PDT

Now that we know Edwards will be the one taking on potty-mouthed Dick Cheney...am I alone in hoping that he causes Cheney to "pop a vein" during the debates? He could, for example, bring up Halliburton - we all know how sensitive Cheney is about that subject. Whether the vice-president believes it or not, losing his temper (even short of using an expletive) as the nation watches would be politically damaging and make him appear un-vice presidential. Maybe the Kerry-Edwards campaign should consider this and take advantage of Cheney's weakness - his temper.

Worst Supreme (Poll)

Wed Jun 30, 2004 at 03:26:37 PM PDT

Given their last ruling regarding due process, I was curious to find out whom some of you regard as our worst supreme court justice. Some explanation would be helpful. Thanks for taking the poll.

Dennis Miller Has No Shame

Mon Jun 28, 2004 at 05:17:54 PM PDT

I read his "line" and thought to myself..Not even Dennis Miller would be so despicable as to cheer on police brutality. Check this out: Dennis Miller on LAPD beating: "Yeah! Get him!" The idea that his network would continue to keep him on is beyond me.

VH1's ILL-ustrated

Mon Jun 21, 2004 at 03:33:03 PM PDT

I was channel surfing last night and caught VH1's ILL-ustrated. Has anyone seen this show? It's political and pop-culture satire. Much of it is political and pokes fun at the Bush administration and the scandals surrounding it. One of the cartoons in last night's episode involved the Cheney-Scalia duck hunting trip, but instead of hunting ducks they were hunting "liberals." It's pretty funny, the animation's great and it looks like the folks at VH1 have been doing their homework.

What's Taken Kerry So Long?

Mon Jun 14, 2004 at 03:18:48 PM PDT

There's only about 5 months left 'til November. What's taking Kerry so long to choose his VP? Shouldn't he choose one soon or am I being too anxious?

Don King For Bush

Mon Jun 14, 2004 at 10:37:43 AM PDT

I was scanning the channels and got to, if I recall precisely, Fox News. Don King was a guest praising everything W. This is one endorsement the GOP can have. Am I alone on this one? Here's a link to an article about King's stump. I was a bit surprised that Ed Gillespie is touring with him. This goes to show the Bush camp's desperation. Boxing Promoter Don King Stumps for Bush
